DEDICATION
I would like to dedicate this book to all the successful marriages out there that have been able to overcome the trials and tribulations of this world and have stayed together through thick and thin, for better or for worse. As a young man the one thing that I wanted more than anything else was to find the perfect partner whom I could depend on to stay with me for life. I believe it is God’s plan for every person who desires to serve God, and does not have the gift to do it alone, to find the perfect mate to share their life journey with. Too often we either don’t find out what God’s plan is for us until it is too late, or we just don’t trust him enough to wait for it to come. I believe there is a perfect man for every woman who wants to share her life with a mate in the pursuit of pleasing God. My advice to this woman is to stay diligent in prayer and pure in body and soul while you wait for God to lead you to this man. Just like God created Eve for Adam He created you for your perfect mate as well. All that is necessary for your dreams to come true is for you to trust God and wait for the man of your dreams to come. I’m not suggesting that for every woman there is a man waiting, I am saying for every woman who trust God and has a desire to live a life that is pleasing to Him with her perfect man, he will come. In our society today, being a mother and a housewife is not considered anything special, but in God’s eyes woman was created mainly for this purpose and fulfilling God’s will is the highest calling there is. If you desire this role in your life as a godly woman, God will make it happen. If you are a godly man that desires to serve God with the perfect woman then God has already created her for you and is preparing her for you. Just keep serving God, keep praying for her arrival in your life, and keep yourself pure in body, soul and spirit. God will bring her to you just like He created Eve and prepared her for Adam and then brought her to him.
PREFACE
This book is a compilation of information intended to prepare those who are contemplating marriage, or are already married, how to have a successful marriage based on God’s Words. The Lord has requested for me to make this information available to all those who desire to have a marriage that will last, “till death do us part”, or until Jesus returns to take His followers home. I have cited hundreds of verses in this work, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, in order to create a Biblical commentary on the subject of marriage. This is a work that started over twenty five years ago and has been in progress since that time. It includes numerous real life stories and illustrations for the purpose of clarification regarding God’s instructions on these topics. Many of these illustrations are collections from different professionals in their specific fields of expertise and many are instructions derived from sermons that I have heard through the years and sermons and lessons that I have taught and preached through the years. Oftentimes I have heard people say, Wives and husbands and children don’t come with instructions. Well now they can because God has inspired me to provide that for those who are interested in doing His will in their lives. I wish I could say that I have had the perfect marriage since day one, but unfortunately for many of us, we were not blessed enough to have had the benefit of knowing or understanding God’s Words early in our lives and only began to understand God’s will after we had already made many mistakes. Maybe the reason I went through these experiences is because God was preparing me to make this information available to the world. In this book you will find instructions concerning marriage, divorce, having children, mixed marriages, intimate relations, family finances, God’s way of guiding the home, disciplining of children, church attendance, and the appropriate celebration of holidays and a host of other topics that families will face in their struggle to have a happy home and life that is pleasing to God. One out of every two marriages end in divorce in the United States of America and the family unit is being torn apart. I believe the reason for this destruction of the family unit today, is because marriage is entered into as an experiment rather than a lifelong commitment as God intended it. To God the marital relationship has immense significance in His plan for mankind as well as the spiritual implications that it represents. I think if most people had even the slightest comprehension of the importance of this God ordained institution that it would be entered into with much more caution and preparation than it is today. My prayer and my purpose for making this information available to all, is to prepare those who are considering entering into a marital relationship as to the obstacles that they will soon face and how to overcome them. To help those who are already in a marital relationship and are currently facing situations that they are not equipped with the Word of God to face successfully. To assist those who are considering having children and have perhaps given little thought as to how it will affect their marriage. This work is the most comprehensive piece that I have personally ever seen on these topics and I believe it is probably the most needed information in our nation today.

Marriage in the Beginning
The Three Most Important Decisions You Will Make in Your Life time
There are three major decisions each person will have to make during his or her lifetime that are more important than any other decisions the person will ever make.
1. What to do about his or her soul
2. What to do about his or her service
3. What to do about his or her spouse
In the following chapters, we are going to discuss each of these decisions in great detail.
What to Do about Your Soul
The first question, what to do about your soul, revolves around the decision to accept the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ or reject it. The type of life you will live and the types of relationships you will have all depend on this decision. Because of the significance of this decision, we are going to cover this in the very first chapter.
What to Do about Your Ser vice
Provided that you choose to accept Christ, the second question is whether you are the kind of person who has the ability or gift to spend your entire life serving God alone or if you need to have a lifetime mate with whom to share your life and serve God. To serve God, you must have a pure vessel or body to offer to God for His service. If you aren’t able to keep yourself pure as a single man or woman (through celibacy), then the only other way to remain pure in God’s eyes is through marriage. If you haven’t chosen to accept Christ yet, then hopefully this book will help you to understand why this decision is so important.
