Walking with the Spirit
Let’s begin this journey by walking down the seven streets of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. He is all encompassing, and to him there is no end or measure. In writing this book, I am truly excited to present my best friend, the Holy Spirit, to those of the faith and to introduce him to others perhaps for the first time. If you are reading this book, you were drawn, I can say truly, by the Spirit of God. The world may not know him, but we who are of the faith do—or should.
The Spirit of God begin to compel me to begin to write this book over Labor Day weekend, 2022, when so many people were traveling, barbecuing, and having what they call fun. I had just gotten over one of the most challenging times I’d had to endure in a long while. Suddenly I knew that I could just put pen to paper. I began to write the vision, made a plan, and ran with it.
Even as I am writing this preface to you now, I can feel the Spirit of God upon me, giving me the strength and agility to write as I hear the raindrops outside my window. I am prepared to go as deep as the Holy Spirit would like in revealing himself in the pages of this book.
We should acknowledge that we will never know everything about him, for we know in part and we prophesy in part. But he has laid the foundation whereupon we can live a successful life through knowing him. And yes, he is a person, not a thing. If you get to know him, you will ask yourself, “What took me so long to find this wonderful person who resides inside of me, the gift my Savior left me?” I can see why Jesus said it was expedient that he go away so that the Holy Spirit should come. What a wonderful gift he left his children! He knew we would need the fullness of his Spirit to do this thing call life.
I am not coming to you in the pages of a book as if you don’t know who the Holy Spirit is—you may or may not—but I’m coming in the volume of this book to introduce to you the manifestations of the Spirit.
The words are leaping off my heart to fill the pages. What I love about the Holy Spirit is that we all are his friends. He is not biased or prejudiced, nor does he prefer one over the other. He loves us all the same, and—here comes the shocker—even if we don’t love him in return, it doesn’t change his mind about you. He loves you first before you love him.
