We have to understand the cause of obesity before we can comprehend the cure. We’ve been trying to rid our bodies of excess acid for decades now, but we still have excess acid in our bodies, and it’s breaking down our cells.

The over-acidification of the body sets in motion a destructive cycle of imbalance, overweight, and disease. It is the symptoms we are all experiencing, but a cause we are only beginning to understand. Too much acid in the body robs the blood of oxygen, and without oxygen, the metabolism slows.

To lose weight, you must increase your body’s natural, healthy alkalinity. To do so, you must eat a lot of alkaline foods, which are easier to maintain than acidic foods. It is also easier to maintain pH balance once you have achieved it than it is to get there from an overly acidic state.

Your body is programmed to maintain a pH balance within very narrow parameters. Different areas of the body have different pH requirements, and the best way to determine whether your overall body is in pH balance is by measuring the blood circulating throughout the entire system.

The body will go to great lengths to stay in pH balance, which is why it will store fat and leach calcium out of the bones to act as buffers. All of this is to protect itself from acid damage.

The term pH refers to the concentration or activity of hydrogen ions in a given solution. pH measures the amount of protons and electrons in an atom, and therefore the amount of positive and negative charges. Alkaline substances are positively charged, while acids are negatively charged.

You can’t avoid acid production in your body altogether. Acids are formed during the digestion process, respiration, normal metabolism, and cellular breakdown. Unless you help your body cope productively with these acid by-products, you will remain fat and sick.

Blood is the most basic material of the human body. It is the key to living at an ideal, healthy weight. The blood dictates your body’s internal environment: acidic blood, acidic body; alkaline blood, alkaline body.

When you are subsisting on acidic food, and the intestine becomes damaged or congested, blood production is impaired or stops. In order to keep constant the amount of red blood cells in the body, the body will convert body cells to blood cells.

I have performed blood tests on ten thousand people in the course of my research over the past twenty years. The blood of a person eating a standard American diet of acidic foods looks incredibly different from the blood of someone eating alkaline.

Live and dried blood analyses can give you early warning of possible upcoming health issues. They can reveal metabolic dysfunction and blood sugar imbalances, malabsorption of fats, proteins, vitamins, and other nutrients, and nutritional deficiencies.
