To Earth’s humankind.
" Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself."
Timothy Leary

Introduction

Regardless of where you may stand on any issue or ideological concept you may hold or endorse, I feel confident that we can agree that no one can accurately predict the future of humankind or the future of any carbon based life form on Earth.
There are certainly factors which play a major part in what our future may hold. One in particular is the fact that we as a species are nothing more than barbarians armed with a reasonably high level of technology. Sadly, we still war, murder, attack, cheat, steal, lie, and narcissistically manipulate everything in sight, that’s just to mention a few of our not so civilized behaviors.
This book is dedicated to depicting an optimistic, rich with purpose, view of the future. This comment is based solely on an assumption that humankind will reach an authentically civilized interaction with each other. The human species will find a caring, cooperative relationship as fully enlightened individuals living in a globally civilized community.
I place a high value on that word "civilized", I see it meaning so much more then just cultured, educated, refined, polite and elegant. Certainly all of those traits, but also includes honesty, caring, thoughtfulness, understanding, loyalty and respect. In using " civilized " to describe humankind behavior, I would assume you would also want to see those qualities in us as a species, as sentient beings sharing this planet.
How do we get to a globally civilized utopian future world? The answer, sadly, is that within the somewhat immediate future we must suffer the effects of humankinds’ inhumanities towards their fellow human beings. So many indicators in our conduct are aiming us towards dreadfully troubled times. However, a look into the distant civilized future will provide the answers to why and how "bad times can bring good times."
This is a story of the humankind of Earth, their ordeal in surviving near distinction and how the purity of the true " Human " essence will save humankind. A story of how Earth’s humankind rises to join the humankind of the Universe.
As the future of civilization unfolds there may be aspects of it you will not be pleased to read. There will be those who fail to comprehend the prospect of what that new world will become, but keep in mind that the civilized human being of the future will have absolute control of their own lives. Laws and rules will no longer be a necessity as a truly civilized culture does not require them.
When a genuinely civilized society becomes part of the universal-fabric which binds all physical things then humankind will thrive forever. Through our innate and hopefully mounting intellect and competence we will find there is nothing that cannot be accomplished or any obstacle that cannot be overcome.
Based on the past 200 years of a logarithmic increase in scientific and technological capabilities, it is apparent humankind has just begun to exploit the technological genius yet to be revealed in humankind’s distant future.
As you read you will notice that unlike the science fiction of today dealing with a mere hundred years or so in the future their assumptions of technological advances are far too ambitious. Granted scientific advances are rapidly increasing, but they fail to take a realistic view of what is possible. Forget those ugly, always nasty aliens; they will not be in this glimpse into a very, very distant future.
So, if humankind at this point has found its way to this current level of technology, which is currently in use by most of the inhabitants of the planet, then just imagine technology millenniums from now. But, do so by understanding this is a view based on a best case scenario. Hopefully humankind finds an all-embracing self actualized and socially "civilized" existence.
This account of the future will be moderated by a gentleman from an era yet to come, a man that has been part of a future spanning many millennia. It will be Mr. John Holcrum’s narrative, shared with me, guiding you through the future years, providing a first person observation and analysis.
It is difficult to explain how Mr. Holcrum, whose essence of existence spans eternity, and I managed to interact. He contacted me using a form of communication that I had been investigating for some years. I assume it was my research that drew attention within Mr. Holcrum’s realm of existence. As he told of future years starting after 2088, I realized this journey into the future of humankind of Earth will ultimately achieve that Wonderful Future.
" Travel with me from a relatively near future to an extremely distant future, far beyond your current imagination of humankind’s existence."
" Roger, thank you for listening,"
John Holcrum
Note: Because of the extremely distant future that will eventually be reached, keep in mind centuries if not millenniums will pass by rapidly.
Chapter 1

What is the Future?
What constitutes the future? Is it tomorrow, next year, a hundred years, or thousands of years?
Hopefully humanity will be able to maintain its existence for millenniums to come, and done with peace and inclusive harmony of universal proportion. Human beings will find a rewarding future that will entail identifying and resolving the issues which stifle humankind’s maturity, encompassing a genuinely civilized future.
What is your estimation of what constitutes a civilized humankind existence? Personally, I see a civilization where crime of any kind is nonexistent, where laws may remain on the books but never needed. Humankind has genetically developed into a fully civilized creature with no desire or need to infringe on the individual rights of their fellow beings. Humankind now functions as a single entity, dedicated to a successful future; existence without rules and regulations, because they are not needed.
One aspect that has played a major role in the growth and advancement towards a fully civilized culture is the progress of the sciences that contribute significantly to that goal. From technically enhanced survival abilities to medical sciences to communications which at some point will provide the path to becoming a wholly civilized people. Meanwhile humankind is still in their infancy of completely understanding all of our current sciences, let alone knowing of sciences that are yet to be discovered.
Granted many of our technological advancements were envisioned as early as the sixteen hundreds, but in reality within a mere 250 years virtually all of our science and technology achievements have occurred. We have gone from riding a horse to flying to the moon, from carrier pigeons to world wide real-time visual communications, from a life expectancy of 40 years to 78 years of age, and medical procedures unimaginable just a handful of years ago are now being performed regularly. What will the next thousands of years bring to our technological advancements still to be afforded to humankind?
Let’s go back a millennium in time to the 11 th century; to say life or just mere survival was difficult would fall short of reality. In a best case scenario the life span was 24 years for men and 33 for women. Between
