JANUARY
New Year’s Day
When I went to bed last night, another year had passed
And when I woke up today, a new year was here at last.
All sorts of things will happen, I’ll grow taller every day.
I’ll be one year older and can learn more words to say.
Of course I’ll have new duties to help my Mom Dad
But this year may even be the best I’ve ever had.
Some days may be gloomy with clouds and even snow,
But I know I’ll have a lot of fun wherever I may go.
It’s a month I must wear mittens, a warm jacket and boots too,
But to make snowmen and go sledding are such fun things to do.
When I get cold and come inside, Mom makes a special treat –
I’ll have a cup of cocoa, and some cookies I can eat.
