#1 In America, it was Washington that saw the first case of COVID-19, a man in his thirties who had just returned from a trip to China. But officials said not to worry, and that this wasn’t a moment of anxiety.
#2 Trump’s travel restrictions were meant to keep Americans safe, but it wasn’t just foreigners who condemned Trump’s coronavirus response. Capitol Hill’s Democrats jumped right into the fray, calling Trump’s $2. 5 billion funding request too little, too late.

Insights from Chapter 1

#1

In America, it was Washington that saw the first case of COVID-19, a man in his thirties who had just returned from a trip to China. But officials said not to worry, and that this wasn’t a moment of anxiety.

#2

Trump’s travel restrictions were meant to keep Americans safe, but it wasn’t just foreigners who condemned Trump’s coronavirus response. Capitol Hill’s Democrats jumped right into the fray, calling Trump’s $2. 5 billion funding request too little, too late.

#3

While Trump was correct in calling the virus the Wuhan virus, Biden was not incorrect when he called Trump racist for labeling it such.

#4

The Washington Post completely contradicted itself in an article about how Trump’s travel restrictions did not save lives, yet it still came out to say that Trump was a xenophobe for not restricting travel sooner.

#5

Trump was always going to be criticized for whatever he did regarding the coronavirus, and that was before Democrats started blaming him for the devastation the virus caused.

#6

Trump allowed the health pinheads to take too much power over the American government. He could’ve balanced the all fear, all the time talk with more talk of the Constitution and God-given rights, but he didn’t.

#7

The Left used the politics of fear to bring to a halt the engines of free markets, free enterprise, and free thinking. They used this to their advantage to further their own political goals.

#8

The year of COVID-19 will be remembered as the golden era for socialists, communists, collectivists, globalists. They shut down America’s small businesses, closed the nation’s public schools to all in-person instruction, and used the free market to impose mandates they didn’t have the constitutional right to pass.

#9

The Democrats’ use of the pandemic for political means has led to some truly disturbing outcomes. With Biden in the White House, with Kamala Harris at the helm, and with Congress held by Democrats, make way for more pain.
