This was greatly accelerated later by Barack Obama's promise of the "Fundamental Transformation" of the Founding Father's American democratic republic.

Author’s Prologue
 
 
The genius of Shakespeare 500 years ago expressed for me in one short excerpt from his works a wisdom that has been burned into my mind as a teenager. The “Out Brief Candle” blurb captures so succinctly a verity that has had a life long effect on my reflections of life’s meaning enduring without flagging in its influence on my character.
We are but a spec of sand on the beach of eternity and with the realization that like that grain of sand there has been billions of other grains that preceded our brief existence. That there are potentially billions that may follow, God willing, after our departure from this brief instant in time.
So I am compelled to share with others the unadulterated view that one in my dotage possesses that is free of the random and contaminated attitudinal influences that were developed and encountered through a lifetime. These beliefs and opinions held in my youth most likely are a distortion or an aberration of the real truth absent the common sense filtration that occurs in a lifetime. One of the benefits of eighty plus years is the expectation and realization of imminent and permanent departure. I believe I can now magically contemplate viewing the realities and circumstances on earth as if they are seen from heaven, hell, purgatory, or from a cloud in the firmament. “In short”, as Micawber would say, “Hard Times makes for love of family; whereas, Affluence and Good Times makes for becoming mendacious and the assurance of the ending and final loneliness.”
Absent even a drop of testosterone in my withered body; no longer having any desire to be admired and revered by others; not caring whether my estate will be sufficient to have my heirs grateful for my existence; not coveting my neighbor’s wife; not experiencing any outrageous misfortune in my lifetime that demented my mind; achieving a maximum of accomplishments for my limited intellectual abilities; I am eternally grateful for a wonderful life like George Bailey of it’s “A Wonderful Life”. I feel obligated to share truth as I see it now stripped of any biases and animosities.
This tome, if it achieves any readers beyond my own friends, I cheerfully dedicate to my fellow Americans of the Greatest Generation whose grit, dedication to country, self-sacrifice and providing a model to emulate of an extraordinary work ethic. They provided me role models that shaped my life that I am proud today to have experienced. This despite as Lincoln averred: “few will long remember or note what we have said here today” which I hope was as untrue as his memorable exhortation.

OVERTURE
 
The basic beliefs of the Author Witness are summarized below as a prelude of the contents. The reader is challenged to assess another point of view whether they think these beliefs are too extreme or they are in complete disagreement:
 
>> Political Correctness is destroying freedom of speech, divisive, lowers industrial productivity, and is inculcating Progressive socialistic policies in government.
>> Democratic Party has been redefined and replaced by the Party of Socialism. Personal responsibility by Americans has been subordinated to cradle to grave entitlement expectations .
>> Obama has divided the country irreparably and set the stage for anarchy by not discouraging protests and protestors such as “Black Lives Matter” and usually inferring Police malpractice which has led to a law enforcement retreat.
>> Obama has been anti-Christian and anti-White in sympathy with his Father’s communistic and Islamic beliefs as an anti-Colonialist.
>> Obama is pro-Muslim and encouraging their importation as refugees and other illegals in order to diminish the white majority’s continuity of the Founder’s original American values.
>> Loss of Patriotism and the Greatest Generation American values. Korean and Vietnam conflicts played major role in a reversal of Love of Country by Americans.
>>Feminine proclivities have replaced Masculine political policy influence. Tough Love values have been replaced by a Socialistic agenda of social justice and the distribution of wealth.
>> USA is destined to economically collapse . Debt burden has passed the point of no-return to financial stability.
>> Jihadist threat complacency may result in annihilation of the USA and an American holocaust .
>> African American assimilation is politically a “Bridge Too Far” for huge ghetto enclaves that shun education and replicate inherited tribal behavior.
 
The content that follows provides the Author’s exploration of the logical essentials leading to the conclusions drawn by the “America’s Death Spiral” obituary. The common sense the Author debunks the politically correct Progressive beliefs and policies that the complicit media endorses as fact and any other views to the contrary as extremism.

 Patriotism of Founders and Greatest Generation Has EVAPORated Since WWII peak.

T his is an autobiographical diary of common sense views by a conservative Octogenarian who has witnessed an extraordinary period of change in the American human condition and behavior.
I have witnessed first-hand for 83 years the devolving temperament and changing behavior of Americans for spiraling downward of consecutive decades starting with the many years of the Great Depression, World War II, and the Vietnam War. The resulting consequences of war have apparently scarred the psyche of younger Americans, possibly forever.
The attitudinal damage felt today can be traced back to the negative events that transpired after WW II. The results of degrading patriotism have been relentless and we’ve seen the incremental decay that diminished and eliminated long-standing trad itions of American society that endured for over two centuries.
“America’s Death Spiral” is intended to be provocative and portray a perception of today’s destructive populism affecting more and more Americans as the Greatest Generation population dies off. “What’s in it for me and mine” attitudes seem to be infecting an alarming number of hands-out for Free-Stuff of disaffected Americans. This is contrary to the Patriotism expressed by JFK’s exhortation of “what you have done for your country”.
The “cradle to grave” demands mentality has also led to a disrespect of government and thus diminished Patriotism for the USA. Ultimately the recipients of freebies hold their benefactors in contempt as a defense in retaliation for their subconscious shame. They no longer have the same love of country possessed by the Greatest Generation of WW II and all the preceding generations back to 1776.
I believe that this escalation of an erosion of love of country can be attributed mostly to the more recent generations. Regretfully many were not exposed to older Americans that lived through the privations and struggles of the Great Depression and WW II.
