Project Manager Delivered in French, material in French Course Overview The PMP training program of 11 days was developed by PMGS. The objective is to acquire new concepts, methods and techniques based on the PMI®’s standards to improve your project management skills. The objective is to also prepare the participant for their PMP® certification. The difference from the short cycle is the added training ―Best Practices in Project Management‖ to the program to allow participants to get familiarised with the key concepts of project management. The PMP® certification preparation requires a lot of availability, personal work after a session in order to prepare for the next one, and time to integrate newly acquired knowledge. PMGS limits the number of participants to enable better discussion between participants and teachers, which facilitates the acquisition of knowledge. PMI®’s Conditions of Illegibility: Participants must meet the qualification and experience requirements from the PMI® :  Pre-requisite 1 - if the candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent, he/she must show proof of at least 4,500 hours (36 months) of project-related experience within the last six years. A candidate without any such corresponding degree must show proof of 7,500 hours (60 months) of project-related experience within the last eight years.  Pre-requisite 2 - the candidate must prove that he/she has received 35 hours of project management training — which can be obtained upon completion of this 8 day session (64 hours of training). A training certificate will be issued to the participant, who can use it should he/she be audited by the PMI® Notes 1) A copy of the PMBOK® Guide – 4th edition is given to participants. Course Outline PART 0 – 3 DAYS Best Practices in Project Management  An introductive session to allow participants to better understand the project management methods and to acquire the fundamental knowledge, experience, techniques and tools to manage a project during its life cycle. This approach grants a comprehensive view of a project, from specification to work break structure, to modification and completion. PART 1 – 3 DAYS Introduction  Key concepts in project management  Knowledge areas and processes from the PMBOK® Guide  Professional Responsibility  Being PMP®-certified Integration Management  The project start-up, implementation, management of modifications, and completion. Scope Management  Scope planning, definition, work breakdown structure, audit and scope control. Time Management  The identification of activities, sequencing of activities, appraisal of resources needed for the activities, estimated duration of the activities, set-up and control of the schedule. Cost Management  Cost planning and estimating, budgeting and cost control. Human Resources Management  Resource planning, staffing and the management of the project team. Tests and analysis PART 2 – 3 DAYS Quality Management  Quality planning, quality insurance, and quality control. Communication Management  Communications planning, information distribution, status reports, and stakeholder management. Risk Management  Risk management planning, risk identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analyses, preparation of response plans, risk monitoring and control. Procurement Management  Procurement planning, invitation for bid planning, supplier selection, contract administration and completion. Professional Responsibility  Professional responsibility of the Project Leader towards the PMI®, the project leaders’ community, and the clients.  This section enables project leaders to use their best judgement during the decision process while respecting the interests of all stakeholders.
